Self Shape Project

For the "Self Shape Project" we created an avatar of ourselves inspired by the work of the artist Tschabalala Self. All the symbols are old Celtic symbols of different aspects of my life. The grey symbol is the "Baineann" or female woman symbol. The purple letters was my name in Ireland, which is just the Irish way of spelling Maeve. The red symbol is the "gra teaghlaigh" or family/family love/family hearth symbol. The blue swirls is the continuity of life or "Saol." I made both symbols in red and blue to show my new family in America. Finally, I put the top of my clan crest in green.
